[edit] US??
Can I use a maestro card in the US? POS? ATM? As a master card? --Gbleem 03:01, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- All ATMs with the "Cirrus" symbol on them (logo similar to MasterCard and Maestro) also take Maestro cards. At the POS, many stores that accept pin-based debit/ATM cards such as Star, Interlink, NYCE or Pulse, also accept Maestro. You cannot use it as a MasterCard though. 87.175.56.244 19:19, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Someone tried using one at my resturaunt tonight. Couldn't be accepted, albeit we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, etc... the owner wasn't even sure it'd work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.168.71.168 (talk) 01:26, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Eurocheque
"In Europe, Maestro is the successor to the Eurocheque system."
Shouldn't this be "In Germany, ..."? In many other countries it seems that Maestro replaced other card systems. (Stefan2 18:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC))
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Maestro.gif
Image:Maestro.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- This comment does not apply any more, everything needed has been done by someone else time ago (I looked at the image description and saw a complete fair use rationale, at least IMHO - I'm no fair use expert). --12:01, 25 May 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blaisorblade (talk • contribs)
