[edit] Land rover engine

Thanks for the edits to Land Rover Defender! Great stuff! Can you tell me any more about that 2.6L 8 engine? I thought the Series used the Rover V8 engine... Not that I'm an expert though! --SFoskett 17:44, Sep 27, 2004 (UTC)

Oh hell, it's meant to be a 2.6L 6 engine, the v8 was 3.5L. I'll edit :) --MAdaXe 21:42, 27 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Great! The 3.5 was the Rover/Buick V8, right? When did that appear? --SFoskett 13:21, Sep 28, 2004 (UTC)
Yep, it was the rover/buick v8 (the aluminium one) - must say i'm not certain when it appeared, it only became really popular around when the first range rovers appeared, and it was put into stage 1 prototypes. --MAdaXe 14:42, 28 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Land Rover Defender speedo pic

Sorry to remove the Land Rover Defender speedo pic but it looked very odd (being out of focus) in what aspires to be a quality encyclopedia. --Adrian Pingstone 19:02, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)
