Chip Fairway is an American professional wrestler who competes in Midwestern independent promotions including Atlantic Coast Championship Wrestling, the Heartland Wrestling Association and the IWA Mid-South later winning the promotion's television title during a five month undefeated streak soon after his debut. Appearing in both the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling as a preliminary wrestler during the late 1990s, he also wrestled on the first Brian Pillman Memorial Show teaming with longtime rival Shark Boy to defeat Terik the Great and Sean Casey [1] and has made regular appearances subsequently loosing his HWA Heavyweight title to Race Steele at the Third Brian Pillman Memorial Show in May 2000. [2]
His in ring persona or "gimmick" is that of "professional wrestling's most avid golfer", similar to "Mr. Hole-in-One" Barry Darsow's character during his stay in World Championship Wrestling during the mid-1990s, whose signature moves the "Sandtrap" and the "Titanium Driver" as well as his valet, an ex Big Bertha driver, is considered to be one of the more unusual gimmicks on the Midwestern independent circuit.
