[edit] AfD
The fact that no one put the word "delete" in bold at the beginning of a line hardly means that the consensus to keep can be considered unanimous and subject to an early non-admin closure. The article has serious sourcing issues which have not been addressed over the course of the AfD; I leaned towards neutrality rather than deletion due to an incorrect presumption on my part that WP:BITE should apply (i.e. I thought that the author of the article was a newbie and didn't fully understand WP:RS and WP:N, so we should give more time to look for sources). Searches in both English and Japanese have shown only blogs and booksellers talking about this woman or her works; the website which this article cites as its sole source is just someone's self-published research and in my opinion does not meet WP:RS. cab (talk) 01:41, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- It wasn't unanimous, no, but the general consensus was keep. It's hardly an early closure, though -- the discussion was open more than 5 days, in fact. I agree that work is needed towards verifying the notability of this person; I'm going to add the article to the anime and manga WikiProject's list of things to clean up, if it isn't there arlready. —Quasirandom (talk) 02:38, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
