[edit] Main image duel

David A, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you on your image upload. It is perhaps a slightly clearer image, coming from the side of the comics-printing divide when all books started to look glossier and sharper, but I think the one I uploaded, Image:Madman Hulk.JPG, is preferable to the one you uploaded, Image:Madman (Marvel Comics).jpg, on the grounds that it's from Madman's first appearance (as Madman), from the team who created him, the arguably more epochal, seminal Hulk team of Peter David and Dale Keown.

I wonder if there are some other editors watching this article who could weigh in possibly? Ford MF 17:22, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

It was odd that we both uploaded them at the same time wasn't it? I had just rewritten a bit in the article, looked through my archive, and uploaded it, but suddenly found another there. In any case, this was the Madman character as he was handled by his creator, Peter David, when worked out and defined beyond a locked story-context, and given a fitting 'costume'/'uniform' of sorts. Besides being a nicer picture, and a central 'pose-shot' of the character, it more significantly includes dialogue that instantly goes to the heart of Madman's irreverent, entertaining lunacy, rather than the downbeat tone of his introduction. It's the kind of picture which may interest other creators in using the character again. Dave 19:28, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Could you upload an image with better resolution then? If the dialogue in the image is a selling point, it doesn't make much sense for it to be unreadably small. Ford MF 20:08, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
No problem. Although there are limits. I have to size it down a lot to not do copyright infringement. Dave 20:41, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
I've fixed it. Dave 20:48, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
