Mads Arp

Mads Arp (born 19 September 1969 in Farum, Denmark) is a Danish composer, producer, and electronic musician.

He has been part of the dance scene for more than 15 years. Released the first 12" named Energy/Mystery on Coma Records, Denmark in 1991 under the band name MIRO with Steen Thottrup.

He has lived in London since 1992.

  • 1991: Miro release first 12" on Coma Records, Denmark.
  • 1993: Tune of the week on BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection by Pete Tong - 'Miro - Pure Silk'/Effective Records
  • 1994: PA at Ministry of Sound Friday club night - OPEN ALL HOURS
  • 1995: Release 'Miro - Spaceman' which becomes an all time top 3 dance in Belgium (was re-released in 1998 and again in 2002)
  • 1996: Jose Padilla sign 'Miro - Emotions of Paradise' to Cafe del Mar Vol 3 (which has sold over a million copies and still selling)
  • 1998: Sign with Hooj Choons, UK and release 'Miro - Paradise' (no 78 official UK chart - and included on Paul Oakenfold Global Underground 007
  • 1999: Miro remix and co-write Three Drives - Greece 2000 vocal mix which enters the official UK chart at no 12.
  • 2001: New band guise 'Colours' release 'The Guitar Track' on Skyline Records. Becomes a top 10 Ibiza tune and included on more than 50 compilations around the world.

2002: 'Miro-By your side' is finally released on Lost Language (Hooj) with a Markus Schulz & Ian Wilkie. Original mix no 1 Paul Oakenfold Home chart in 1999

2005: Tiësto play and sign solo project 'Mads Arp - Slow it down' to Black Hole Recordings. Included on 'In Search of Sunrise'.

  • 2005: Armada (Soundpiercing) release solo project 'Arpiction - Dont walk away
  • 2006: Mads Arp - The meaning of Love is included on Cafe del Mar Vol 13

2006: Mads Arp - Alive is included on Cafe del Mar Dream Vol 4 (8th Cafe del Mar appearance by Mads)
