Madison Municipal Airport (IATA: MDN, ICAO: KIMS, FAA LID: IMS) is a city-owned public-use airport located four miles (6 km) west of the central business district of Madison, a city in Jefferson County, Indiana, United States.[1]
Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Madison Municipal Airport is assigned IMS by the FAA and MDN by the IATA.[2]

Madison Municipal Airport covers an area of 174 acres (70 ha) which contains one runway designated 3/21 with a 5,000 x 75 ft. (1,524 x 23 m) asphalt pavement. For the 12-month period ending August 4, 2006, the airport had 43,882 aircraft operations, an average of 120 per day: 80% general aviation, 16% air taxi and 4% military. At that time there were 52 aircraft based at this airport: 90% single-engine, 8% multi-engine and 2% jet.[1]
