Madison is a passenger rail station along the Shore Line East commuter railroad between Stamford and New London, Connecticut. Madison is also a station on the northern section of the Northeast Corridor. Amtrak does not stop at this station but Amtrak trains can often be seen passing this station. As of September 24th, 2007, construction of the new station with a high-level and a commuter shelter area was still in progress. No exact date of completion has been announced however, it is expected to be completed by the end of 2007.[1]
