Madhya Pradesh Vikas Congress

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Madhya Pradesh Vikas Congress (Madhya Pradesh Development Congress) was a political party in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh from 1996 to 1998. MPVC was founded by former aviation minister Madhavrao Scindia, after that Scindia had been refused an Indian National Congress ticket for the 1996 Lok Sabha elections. Scindia won a seat as an MPVC candidate.

MPVC joined the United Front.

In 1998 MPVC was reunited with Indian National Congress, after that Scindia's enemy within the Congress, P.V. Narasimha Rao, stepped down as party leader.
