Madavaram is located at 13.15° N 80.24° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 13 metres (42 feet).

As of 2001 India census[2], Madavaram had a population of 76,793. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Madavaram has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 70%.
