Madhapuram

Madhapuram is a small village located around 16 km away from Khammam district head quarters in Andhra Pradesh, India and 200 km away from Hyderabad. The village is in the Mudigonda revenue division of Khammam. It has a population of under 3000.

90% of the people mainly based on agriculture sector. Literacy rate is around 65%.

Bhadrachalam, a pilgrimage site for Hindus, is located around 100 km from this village. The shrine was built by a devotee of Lord Rama, Kancharla Gopanna popularly known as Bhakta Ramadas in the 17th century (1630 A.D.).

Madhapuram is located at 17.25° N 80.15° E.[1] It has an average elevation of 107 metres (351 feet). It is bounded by Kattakur Village to the north, Aregudam village to the northeast/East, Rajeswarpuram village to the south east, Nelapatla/venkatapuram village to the south, Munigapalli Village to the west and Yedavalli to the NorthWest.
