Madeleine de Bourbon-Busset

Marie Madeleine Yvonne de Bourbon-Busset (March 23, 1898—September 1, 1984 in Paris) was the Duchess of Parma (from 1974) and was also Carlist queen of Spain (from 1952) by virtue of marriage to Francis Xavier of Bourbon-Parma, the Carlist pretender to the Spanish throne,.
She was born of a cadet branch of the Bourbon-Busset : her father was Georges, count of Lignières, and her mother Jeanne de Kerret de Quillien.
Prince Xavier, a younger son of Robert of Bourbon-Parma, and Madeleine were married November 12, 1927 in Lignières, France.
In 1936, Alfonso Carlos, Duke of San Jaime, the last undisputed head of the Carlist movement, appointed her husband Xavier as Regent.
The couple had issue:
- Princess Maria Francisca of Bourbon-Parma, Infanta of Spain, born August 19, 1928 and princess Lobkowicz by marriage.
- Carlos Hugo of Bourbon, Duke of Parma, titular Duke of Parma, born April 8, 1930, former Carlist pretender.
- Princess Maria Teresa of Bourbon-Parma, Infanta of Spain, born July 28, 1933.
- Princess Cecilia of Bourbon-Parma, Infanta of Spain, born April 12, 1935.
- Princess Marie des Neiges of Bourbon-Parma, Infanta of Spain, born April 29, 1937.
- Prince Sixtus Henry of Bourbon-Parma, Infante of Spain, born July 22, 1940, actual Carlist pretender.
