Madeleine West

Madeleine West (born 26 July 1979) is an Australian actress who is most famous for having played Dione "Dee" Rebecchi (née Bliss) on the Australian soap opera Neighbours from 2000-2003.

Born Melanie Weston, West began performing in front of family and friends at an early age. In 1992, she entered the New South Wales Talented Child Drama Ensemble, and, after commencing a university degree in Law, West deferred her studies indefinitely to turn to acting. In 1999 West was awarded the 'Be Your Best' Performance Scholarship from the Australian Drug Foundation. While Neighbours is her first full time television role, Madeleine's amateur theatre credits include Arsenic and Old Lace, Night Reflections, Theatre in the Raw, Bye Bye Birdie, and Snow Queen. She has been performing standup comedy since 2002.
She is currently in a relationship with top Melbourne chef Shannon Bennett and has one daughter, Phoenix, born in December 2005 and one son, Hendrix, born early April 2008.
