Madeleine Sibille

Madeleine Sibille (born February 25, 1895 Paris, died July 19, 1984 Paris) was a French operatic soprano. She spent much of her career performing at the Opéra-Comique and became recognized for her performance in the role of Santuzza in Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana. She also created the role of Milena in Felix Fourdrain's opera La Griffe at the world premiere on November 5, 1923. Other roles she created include Vatleen in Rabaud's opera L'appel de la mer, and Béatrice in Rousel's operetta Le testament de tante Caroline.
