Madeleine Jay (born February 2, 1990), is an Australian child actor. At the age of six she performed in her first screen role in a short student film called Born to Dance. She then went on to claim guest roles in television series such as Round the Twist, Neighbours and twice on Blue Heelers. Her first film role was an unnamed character in Ned Kelly. She then landed a role on the Australian children's television series Pirate Islands
Her most recent television appearance was on Blue Heelers in 2006. She has also voiced characters in radio advertisements and the animated movie The Problem with Planet X. She has made appearances in many short films. Her most recent project is Poetry, a Film Victoria funded short film written and directed by Sian Davies. It is currently in the post-production stage as of Feb 2007. She plays the role of troubled teen 'Maddie'. Upon completion, Poetry is set to be submitted to various Australian and international film festivals. Madeline is currently with Catherine Poulton Management
Jay presently resides in Melbourne and is completing her final year of secondary school.
