Madathukulam is a panchayat town in Coimbatore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], Madathukulam had a population of 20,212. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Madathukulam has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78%, and female literacy is 62%. In Madathukulam, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The surrounding area is mainly based on the agriculture, There area has six paper mills near by, and one dying mill,one tannery,one diary.Madathukulam is located between udumalpet and palani.
Amaravathi river runs through the town. There is a well-known Lord Siva temple (Moolavar Archaneswarar: Ambal:Gomathi Amman) in Kadathur, which is 7 km north from Madathukulam.
