Madarganj is located at 24.8917° N 89.7500° E . It has 41058 units of house hold and total area 225.38 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Madarganj has a population of 201995. Males constitute are 51.52% of the population, and females 48.48%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 100421. Madarganj has an average literacy rate of 17.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
