Mad Uncle Jack is the great uncle of Eddie Dickens, the antagonist of the Eddie Dickens Trilogy.
He is an ex-army officer, with an appalling war record. He is married to Even Madder Aunt Maud. He lives in a tree house made of dried fish and creosote on the grounds of his home, Awful End. He pays people in dried fish, and often has a live electric eel in his breast pocket.

His brothers were George and Percy (grandfather of Eddie) Dickens. His father and mother were Malcontent and Ivy.
