[edit] Musical Themes & Influences

Musically the song is distinguished by the repetitive, rolling drum pattern, prominent keyboard flourishes, and funk-influenced bass & electric guitar. The song is an example of the Happy Mondays bridging of house music with 1960s psychedelia and 1970s funk. The keyboard and drum patterns are influenced heavily by house, whilst the repetitive nature of the music suggests psychedelia.
