I just bought an antique urn on eBay with two handpainted portraits on it, one of Louis XVI, and one of Madame DuBarry. Both these names are written in tiny script under each portrait. I thought it odd that it would be DuBarry and not Marie Antoinette. This urn is dated '82. It looks like the signature says Josephe Berger. Hard to read it though. The maker of the urn is Victoria Carlsbad, and the mark on the bottom of the piece is dated 1881. I'm puzzled why the mistress of Louis XVI is on the urn rather than Marie Antoinette.
