[edit] San Diego Regionals in Science Olympiad
Hi Macken985, I'm sorry I had to remove your section on the new places at the San Diego Regional competition. Although it is an impact on those who participate in the competition, most people would not find it notable or important. See WP:N. Anyways, I hope that you had fun there and that your school did well; you guys are lucky since Orange County Regionals will not be until early March =P.
Also, here's your default welcome message! Check out some of the links and things, because some of the policies at Wikipedia are very important to be informed about :).
Welcome!

Notability of Zoo Admin
A tag has been placed on Zoo Admin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Bookworm857158367 06:12, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Blackmountainlandscape.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Blackmountainlandscape.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Black Mountain Article
The article was redirected to the larger community the school is a part of. A school only deserves its own wikipedia page if it satisfies Wikipedia's notability criteria. Since the article had no independent verifiable sources, and the school has nothing that sets it apart from the other hundreds of thousands of wikipedia articles, it will remain redirected to the larger community it is a part of. Lastly, no one owns any article, so changes to it do not need to be OK'd with you. Please review WP:OWN for Wikipedia's policy on this. —Ocatecir Talk 00:22, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'd add that you need to follow our civility guidelines. Yelling and screaming is not going to get you anywhere on here. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 08:40, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Maltese2.JPG
Hi Macken985,
I have tagged your image Maltese2.JPG for deletion because it does not meet WikiPedia quality standards for images. It is currently used on your page and in the article Maltese (dog). You can upload a higher quality image if you want to do so.
Thanks for understanding,
Larry --Lmcelhiney 16:17, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ratchet Future picture
Thanks, but unfortunately new screenshots have just been released as well as a trailer so it may be possible to screen capture a picture from the unwatermarked HD trailer on insomniacgames.com's Ratchet future page. Jack Zhang 09:08, 6 April 2007 (UTC)--
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:BAE20ATPBRITISHAIRWAYS.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:BAE20ATPBRITISHAIRWAYS.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:22, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:USSD.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:USSD.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:53, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I thought I was reverting vandalism...
...but the vandal was simply updating your vandalism counter, which is kind of clever. Then he went ahead and threw in the profanity, hopefully not just because I'd reverted. I'm not sure if that puts your count up to 4, or 8, or 13 or what. Anyway, take care. -GTBacchus(talk) 02:33, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
