[edit] MFCCs

Hi - thanks for your edit to the Mel frequency cepstral coefficient article. You're right that MFCCs don't include any kind of loudness modelling, but why do you say "unlike the sonogram"? I don't know of any meaning of "sonogram" that includes loudness or outer-ear modelling. "Sonogram" usually just refers to a spectrogram, which simply shows log-magnitude from fourier transforms. --mcld 10:34, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

The sonogram "estimates the loudness sensation per frequency band using auditory models. The main components are (1) outer-ear model, (2) critical-band rate scale (Bark-scale), (3) spectral masking, and (4) Sone" according to Elias Pampalk. --Karl MacDorman 17:06, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] SEQUAM

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article SEQUAM, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of SEQUAM. docboat (talk) 05:00, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
