Jim Sievers (machaut96) born July 2, 1951 in Valparaiso, IN
Jim Sievers has produced in-house Multimedia projects for HDTV incorporating 5.1 (AC3) audio for corporate vanity pieces on as an adjunct to any well-rounded and existing marketing plan. Jim is also a performer on the Korg Karma Music Workstation & Roland GR-33 Guitar Synthesizer with his wife, Janice Sievers, in a Duo-band named Civilian Population. They own a small Pomeranian named Karma.
Civilian Population's first commercial release "Electronica Fusion" is available at http://www.myspace.com/civilianpopulation and contains the single "Rindercella" co-composed by Jim & Janice Sievers.
In the 1980's Jim established a strong Dealership network for an emerging product category (electronic keyboards) on the West Coast (N. California). Additional responsibilities included his personal stage performances on electronic keyboard & guitar sythesizer musical instruments to prospective dealers and customers in National Trade Shows (NAMM) and many other prominent venues across the United States. He provided product design and modifications to Lowrey’s R&D Department for existing and future electronic keyboard product conceptualizations.
While earning his Graduate degree in the field of Music, his responsibilities included classroom and individual instruction in the Music Department as Chair of the Classical Guitar Department at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso,IN. He also provided other classroom instruction (Music Theory and History) and provided directorial leadership for various performance ensembles (Jazz, Orchestral, Chamber, Renaissance and Electronic Synthesis).
Jim has been committed to his art and to a solution based sales philosophy that produces million dollar revenue growth. Skilled in nurturing contacts and negotiating joint venture agreements with companies in diverse industries. Outstanding success in building and maintaining relationships with key corporate decision makers. Developed strategic partnerships to secure many state and local multi-year contracts for state-of-the-art technology-based products and services by direct B2B marketing. Increased sales by working closely with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, ISEMA and other agencies to aid clients in locating grants.
His aspirations have turned to politics and a commitment to the betterment of mankind through technology. His religious beliefs have been many, but he is baptized in the Christian tradition from birth.
