[edit] Macmillan Nurse
We need to explain the term 'Macmillan nurse' since many people will have met one. My understanding is that they are found on the staff of the larger UK hospitals to provide support to patients and their relatives who are undergoing cancer treatment. However, it's my present understanding that some/many of these nurse-specialists are no longer funded by the Macmillan charity, but use the title to identify their support function.
