Talk:Machines of Loving Grace
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Could find no references to The Machines actually existing after the Disney/Mammoth blowout in 2000. If anyone can find a source for the statement that references the band being back together in 2005, that'd be great.

- I found the info on the children of Sores site. It's listed in the "Machines Album News Summary" section in the middle right of the page. Unfortunately, there are no dates listed, so it's hard to tell when the claim was made, but IIRC it was last year. I hope that's good enough. -Freekee 02:03, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unfortunately ....
That news was posted there on the site just a few short months before the 06/10/2000 news that The Machines were breaking up. In March of 2004 I emailed the COS site admin to ask for an update, and it seems pretty clear that the band will never get back together, nor will the final album see the light of day. I have the email saved somewhere, I can find it as a source.
Sorry, man, not trying to B your Bs at all. I was just hopeful that maybe you had some inside info that even the COS site admin didn't.

- Okay. Clearly, I'd misinterpreted info that I'd read. Can that last paragraph be changed to In 2005, Benzel reformed...? Or is it completely wrong. Feel free to fix the article in any way you see fit. I thought it strange that the COS site seemed to think my article was strange, even though I took the info from their own site. :-/ -Freekee 15:50, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think I fixed it. Are there any issues with the current wording? Feel free to edit it, if you feel it's necessary. -Freekee 04:21, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] BAD LINK
Why does a pro wrestling team redirect here? They have the same name but that's the only connection. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Albano (link in teams he has manegd)
- It shouldn't. I changed it. You could have done the same. Thanks for pointing it out, though. -Freekee 06:02, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Page rename
Since the name of the band was changed from Machines of Loving Grace to The Machines after the band had essentially broken up, and all of their records were released under their original name, I propose that the page be renamed to Machines of Loving Grace. Does anyone disagree? Or agree, for that matter? -Freekee 05:35, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
I think that's a great idea. People looking for info on them will be finding them through soundtracks, compilations, or old copies of their cds, like many of us did back in the day. Therefore, they won't know to just look for 'The Machines.' --Identityshift 22:28, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
I've completed the page move, per the request at WP:RM, and discussion here. Cheers. -GTBacchus(talk) 18:19, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
