This article should deal with the toyline as a whole. Info on specific anime or characters made specifically for the anime should go in the anime entries:

Were these guys actually issued in 1982/3 as Blue/Rod? I was always led to believe they were originally issued as just "Jet Robo" and "Drill Robo", and weren't named 'fully' until the anime came out? I could be wrong, I'm as much curious as anything else :)
