I originated this article. When I did so I did not realise that Wikipedia does not actually have many pages for specific chess clubs and I now realise that a page about a particular club is not really appropriate to Wikipedia. My main current interest is in the history of amateur chess. (There is plenty of material in published literature on the history of professional chess, master tournaments and matches but less on the lower tiers of the game.) After further editing I have developed this page in the history direction and perhaps it could be expanded further into a more wide ranging article about the history of amateur chess in the UK, the article being renamed and the content dropping the chess club material. I would welcome any comments on this. Darisley (talk) 10:33, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
