- Ditto the above question. It's been a while since I've seen the show, but I don't remember hearing of/seeing any general officer ranks or field officers ranks other than major [Hayes]. Can anyone substantiate whether this should remain as is? EEMeltonIV 16:19, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Not specifically regarding the above, but related: The article compares the "enlisted" ranks to the US military, then uses the rank of major, an officer, as an example. Additionally, should the comparison be in the criticism section as opposed to either the history or ranks (if the section remains)? I'm taking out the reference to "enlisted" ranks for the reason above. According to Memory Alpha, there was a General Casey at some point; whether he was a MACO or in command of a higher unit is unknown. --68.41.122.213 20:28, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
The information about ranks depicted in the series is fine, but the list of U.S. military ranks is (IMO) completely inappropriate speculation. I mean, it's literally prefaced by "If the MACO rank structure parallels that of the United States Army or Marines" and "If MACO officer grades follow those of the current United States land and air forces". This kind of stuff belongs in the respective articles, not as random speculation on an article about fictional armed forces from a speculative future that may or may not have anything to do with today's military ranks. Of course, removing these leaves the section with so little information that it's probably best condensed into one or two paragraphs under a single heading. — Wisq (talk) 19:05, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Image:MACOlogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page.
