Macvin du Jura AOC

Macvin du Jura is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée for fortified wines made in the Jura wine region of France.

Red and rosé wines can be produced from Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir grapes, and white wines from Chardonnay and Savagnin. It is in production since the 14th Century. Macvin du Jura is a powerful Vin de Liqueur which is made by stopping fermentation of grape juice by adding Marc. This sweet wine should be served cool as an aperitif or with sweet dishes.
