The 2007 municipal election was held on November 6, 2007 to elect a mayor and 15 council members to the City Council of Macon, Georgia; a run-off election on December 14 was unnecessary. Party primaries were held on July 17; Democrat Richard Reichert and Republican David Cousino won their respective parties' mayoral candidacies, with no need for a scheduled run-off election on August 14; Reichert won the mayoral election, and will take office on December 4th. He will replace Hakim Mansour Ellis, who was constitutionally barred from seeking re-election to a third term.
