Mackey Stingray is a fictional character in Bubblegum Crisis. His original OAV voice actor was Nozomu Sasaki. His English voice actor is Frank Trimble.

Mackey is the younger brother of Sylia Stingray and her only family. He serves as the Knight Sabers' youthful mascot and mechanic along with Sylia's friend, Dr. Raven.

Mackey is a whiz kid with computers and technology. He has to constantly makes repairs to Priss' bike because of her driving and the situations she gets into. Mackey is also the sole caretaker of the hardsuits. He can pilot an armored suit himself, and drives a large truck that delivers the Knight Sabers and their bikes to a situation. Mackey's character was also extremely perverted, watching the Knight Sabers (even his own sister) in the nude as much as he could.

Mackey is still technology whiz, but acts as an apprentice to Nigel Kirkland.
In contrast to the original series, unfortunate circumstances conspire to make him seem to be a pervert to Nene. (In one instance, he accidentally barged in on the Knight Sabers' dressing room.) Mackey is inadvertently shy and is quite passionate for machines. He loves to fix, make, and repair them and his love for fixing things attracts the attention of the stone faced Nigel Kirkland. Mackey cares deeply for his sister Sylia and at times he seems like the only thing that keeps Sylia from going over the edge. Later in the series it is revealed Mackey is in fact a boomer, created by using a chip inside Sylia's brain from Sylia's father, and his presence helps awaken the super boomer Galatea. Mackey was the first prototype Boomer but was classified a "failure" because he was too human like. Mackey eats, sleeps, and drinks like a normal human so he shows signs of organic sustenance. Mackey's connection to Galatea however gives her the ability to manipulate him. Towards the climax of 2040, Mackey is mentally "wiped clean" of his memories regarded by Galatea as "false data". This includes his feelings for Nene. In both versions, Mackey has a love interest for Knight Saber Nene Romanova. Her love for him grows even through his manipulation from Galatea, and his sacrifice of his remaining memories enables the Knight sabers the chance to enter Galatea's tower to fight her. Mackey's memories are restored at the end of the series once Galatea is destroyed over Earth and rains down across the planet.
