Macapagal

Macapagal is a surname derived from the Kapampangan language of the Philippines. It is known to most as forming part of the name of two Presidents of the Philippines:
- Diosdado Macapagal, 9th President of the Philippines;
- Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, 14th President of the Philippines, the former's daughter and incumbent head of state.
There is also the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in what is known as theClark Air Base, Pampanga, and Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City, the Philippines. Both are named after Diosdado Macapagal by his daughter, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
