MacArthur High school is a public high school in Irving, Texas. It is named for General of the Army Douglas MacArthur.

MacArthur High School is perhaps best known for the stunning 1982-83 varsity basketball team lead by coach Tom Milford and senior Bryan Amason which complied a 30-0 record in regular season play. The team finally fell to Ft. Worth Dunbar in regional playoffs.


Well known graduates in Brian Bosworth, who won to Dick Butkus Awards playing for the University of Oklahoma, and later played professionally for the Seattle Seahawks.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker, Akin Ayodele also graduated in the late 90's.

MacArthur was named a 2001-02 National Blue Ribbon School. [1]
