[edit] Annexation date
Can someone pin down a more exact time of annexation than "in the late 1970s or early 1980s"? This is, for now, the only thing that lacks a citeable source. — ArkansasTraveler 16:03, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
I know that it was annexed in either 1979 or 1984...but can't remember when for sure. I may have to head over to either LR Planning or the county clerk's office to find out exactly when. The City used to have a map available online that showed when each piece of land was annexed in, but that map has been offline for several months now. Otherwise, I would've cited it. -- xlrar 21:43, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it 1984 because I was working for Little Rock Street Dept. at the time and we were stretched pretty thin because they started improvements before they collected any taxes therefore there were no new hires to help out with the extra load. I remember my Grandfather was very displeased with the action because we had 250 laying hens and sold eggs. Plus we had numerous forms of livestock and he knew it would only be a matter of time before they would star messing with him about it. --- Unsigned comment from 68.47.129.107 10:02, July 24, 2006 (UTC)
That's a step in the right direction, but to make the powers that be at Wikipedia happy, it would help more to get something backing that up in another source like a newspaper article or record on the web. Wikipedia frowns on original research. -- ArkansasTraveler 19:51, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
