Mabank High School, is the only high school in Mabank Independent School District. It is located in the city of Mabank, Texas (USA).[1]

In addition to the city of Mabank, the school serves southeast Kaufman, southwest Van Zandt, and northwest Henderson counties, including the community of Gun Barrel City and parts of Seven Points.

A new campus was opened for the 2007-2008 school year. The old campus is currently being remodeled and will be the new Mabank Junior High School.[2]

Mabank High School was "Voted One of Texas Top 75 High Schools" in 2006 by Texas Monthly Magazine. It was also listed in the top 1,000 high schools by a U.S. News survey of more than 19,000 high schools nationwide in 2008.[3]

Mabank High School athletic teams will compete in UIL competitions in District 15 of the 4A Class starting in the 2008-2009 school year.[4]

The Mabank Panther Band placed 7th in Class 2A at Bands of America Grand Nationals. The Mabank High School Symphonic Band, the JV band, competed at UIL and made straight 1's in concert and sight reading. The Mabank High School Wind Symphony, the varsity band, competed at UIL and made straight 1's in concert and sight reading.

The Mabank varsity football team won the 13-3A Bi-District championship game.

[edit] Volleyball

During the 2007 Volleyball season, Mabank's Lady Panthers won the district 13-3A All District Volleyball team selections with a 10-0 season.
