He was not a Sahabi? Are you sure, because his son was. Myself, i am not sure. --Striver 22:18, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

You guys need to be careful not to do any original research. He is NOT the father of Sabrah ibn Ma'bad. This guy is in the age of Sabrah's children. He cannot be his father!! --Islamic 03:06, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Bro, are you saying that the Saburah ibn Ma'bad al-Juhani [1] is not the son of Ma'bad al-Juhani? Then why is does he have the guy as his patronymic? How many Ma'bad al-Juhani are there? Are you sayin that Ar-Rabi` bin Sabrah bin Ma`bad Al-Juhani [2] is not the grandson of Ma'bad al-Juhani?--Striver 03:02, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Could you provide some sources for they not being related? I feel compeled to re-instate the relation. --Striver 14:28, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Brother, Juhaina is a big tribe. Is is very strange that you find two people with the same name in a two diffrent times?!--Islamic 14:52, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
So what makes you so confident that they are different people? If you could share the soureces and information, i could also understand it. Right now, i can not clearly see the basis for your objection. --Striver 17:23, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
My reference is Tahdhib al-Tahdhib. Ibn Hajar classified him in the third class of Tabi'een. He was also classifed as such by Daraqatni, Ibn Sa'd, Ibn Kayyat, 'Ijli and others. --Islamic 00:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Could someone offer translations of the dates here into common era dates?
