Talk:Ma'avak

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The reversion of my delete of the redirect to Maavak Sozialisti is ridiculous. Maavak (Struggle)was a Maoist-influenced split from Matzpen in the early 1970's; members included Ilan Halevi and Udi Adiv. Maavak Sozialisti (Socialist Struggle)is a Trotskyist organisation which was established in Israel in the eraly 1970's as the affiliated section there of the CWI. It is an an entirely separate organisation, with no connectio whatsoever to Maavak except an apparently (to non-Hebrew speakers) simiular name. But this redirect makes as much sense as redirecting the Socialist Party to the Socialist Workers Party. I have redeleted the redirect, I have replaced the link iun the one areticle which mnentioned Maavak with a better link, and later I will create a disambiguation page. Please do not recreate this false and misleading link. RolandR 15:58, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

You need to either take the link to WP:RFD to be properly deleted, or create your alternative page. Do not just blank the redirect. Blanking is never the proper way to handle bad content on the project. Blank pages can cause confusion, and show up on a number of reports of vandalized pages (which is how I found this in the first place.) The project has plenty of proper ways to get rid of bad material. WP:RFD is the proper way to get rid of bad redirects. Not blanking, and not "I'll fix it later". Sorry. It cannot stay as a blank page. It either needs to be left as a redirect, properly deleted via RFD, or fixed. Blanking it is not a valid option. - TexasAndroid 17:46, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
