The degrees offered by this school are from Coventry University, UK. They have been providing Master's Degree and Ph.D. Programmes. The postgraduate programmes are industry relevant and the programmes have been evolved by MSRSAS in association with Coventry University of UK and Indian and UK industries. 1

MSRSAS is part of the Gokula Education Foundation started in 1962, by Sri. M. S. Ramaiah. MSRSAS was established in 1999. By now it offers a wide variety of courses like M.Sc.(engg) in 13 areas, Engineering research leading to Ph.D. in 6 areas, Management studies MBA in Engineering Operations in collaboration with Coventry University of UK. It has been certified ISO 9001:2000 MSRSAS is one the institutes to be funded under TIFAC-CORE.

MSRSAS is located in the vicinity of some of India's top research institutes. It is close to Indian Institute of Science and the National Institute of Advanced studies, and the Headquarters of the Indian Space Research Organization .

These are offered at different levels each level is of 3 months duration, conducted with clear emphasis on theory combined with hands on experience. The School awards the Certificate for the successful candidates. The School has developed all these training courses in association with various industries.

  • The School also conducts modular training courses for graduates and working professionals in the areas of MCAD, VLSI, DSIP, Embedded System and Manufacturing. Each module is offered for a duration varying from 70 hours to 160 hours depending on the module.
  • The School offers Industry Specific Training Programmes. The industry interested in a particular skill set formulates the curriculum in association with the School faculty and involves in student/delegate induction.
  • The School is popular all over Bangalore for its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, which are conducted for working engineers, students and faculty from educational Institutions.

Many of the faculty members are involved in sponsored research. Indian Space Research Organisation and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) have sponsored a number of projects.
The School publishes quarterly newsletter and a half yearly technical journal on regular basis.
The School has a consultancy cell called SAS TechnoSolutions and it has been offering services to leading industries. More than 120 industries are interacting with the School
The School has established a state of the art TIFAC-CORE in Digital Image Processing. Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, under Mission Reach has funded this CORE. The school has a number of Research Centres:
