This statement has no fact to back it up: "The M90 also has the tightest corner on the UK motorway network, for which traffic is forced to slow." The corner is tighter than the design standards hence why it is signed with "chevrons" and "bend" signs, however it can be easily taken at 70mph and I have seen cars regularly take the corner at 90mph - I appreciate this information has no factual base however.

Is it definitely the tightest corner on the network? There are 2 tight corners on the M80 Stepps bypass, one is near the temporary terminus at J3 and the other where it passes under the railway bridge between J1 and J2. Both are subject to a 50mph limit and the forces feel far greater at 50mph than the M90 corner at 70mph.161.12.7.4 10:11, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
