[edit] Concept and design
British Airways were re-equipping several of its aircraft towing vehicles, and the crew of Aliens managed to purchase an old one to use it as the M577 A.P.C. It weighed 70 tons, and although the crew removed 35 tonnes of lead, the command station floor needed to be reinforced to support the weight of the cast and crew.[2]
[edit] Description
A vehicle used by the United States Colonial Marines for the easy transportation of troops, it is indispensable in rough-terrain and combat-oriented conditions. It can easily fit into the cargo-bay of a UD4L Cheyenne, which acts as transporter for the M577 A.P.C. Housed inside is a Tactical Operations Center behind the one-man cockpit, in which the operations commander may get audio and video feeds from troops. It also holds a transmitter to send any information back to the present mothership.[3]
