The M32R is a 32-bit embedded RISC microcontroller originally developed and manufactured by Renesas Technology succeeded by a FPGA-implemented MMU'ed M32R which runs Linux, and is supported by the GNU Compiler Collection.
The M32R has been used in Engine Control Units, digital cameras, PDAs.
Linux/M32R (Linux for M32R) supports the following platforms.

- The M32R multiprocessor chip supports SMP-Linux.
