I can't say I know a lot about the company, but growing up in a home where C-band satellite TV was used ("real" satellite tv) M/A-COM was a name I was familiar with. They provided LNBs (low-noise block amplifier) and feedhorns (in other words, the stuff that sits out on the arm of the satellite dish) to bring the signal in from the satellite. They were later bought by Hughes (aka DirecTV).
I'd say most of the C-band stuff was a subculture that was vibrant from the early 80's through the mid 90's. I'd say it meets notability guidelines, however it'd take a lot of fleshing out and I'm not sure there's enough people out there to fill in the holes.
