M/A/R/C Research

M/A/R/C Research is a marketing research [1]and consulting firm.

  • Assessor -- a new product development and optimization platform that helps clients "green light ideas", evaluate concepts forecast the sales and market potential of developed offerings, or optimize marketplace strategy. Assessor was developed at MIT in 1978.[2]

M/A/R/C was founded in 1965 by Cecil "Bud" Phillips[3] who had previously led the research team at TracyLocke in Dallas.[4] Originally called Marketing and Research Counselors, the company name was later shortened to M/A/R/C Research.

In November 1999, M/A/R/C joined with Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSEOMC), a leading global marketing and corporate communications company.[5]
