M.A.C.H. is a game for the PlayStation Portable released on February 20, 2007. M.A.C.H. (short for Modified Air Combat Heroes) is an Airplane game featuring an approach to warfare in the year 2049.

In the year 2049, unmanned jets are introduced, putting hundreds of pilots out of a job. In response to this new technology, the pilots decide to form a racing and dogfighting league using the now obsolete aircraft. There are unlockable planes, upgrades, and many more features. Players will also be able to take on friends in eight-person multiplayer matches.

There are 11 planes available. they include:

Codec, Greasemonkey, Runner, Spitfire, Carver, Bear, Loki, Mayday, Phoenix, Serpent, Baron,

Note* Baron is the "super aircraft" of the game.

Players can customize their planes in different ways these are split in to 2 categories Visual and Performance. The performance upgrades can increase the speed, agility, or power.While in the visual upgrades you can add flags and other symbols to almost any part of the plane.

There are multiplayer functions for this game. One is Head To Head dogfight or race. The other is game sharing multiplayer. The game sharing allows multiple people to play with only one copy of the game.

[edit] Race Mode

In Race Mode you can compete with 7 other enemy planes. The goal of race is to score 3rd place or higher. In race mode you pick up various pick ups including rocket cluster, anti gravity mines, homing missile, machpower, and stealth. In race mode if you pick up the missile pick up you will only receive 1 missile as in dogfight you would receive 3 missiles. guns are also disabled in race mode. if you score less than 3rd place you will not receive a star.

[edit] Dogfight mode

In dogfight mode you can compete with 7 other enemy planes. the goal is keep the highest kill rate until the competition is finished. you can use guns in dogfight mode. guns are unlimited but do overheat. in dogfight your main weapon is to pick missiles. by pressing L you can aim and shoot the missile. the missiles will execute turns that real missiles today could not achieve. even if the enemy is behind you the missile will hit. if your enemy goes behind a barrier,does a sharp turn or barrel rolls the missile will be wasted. also, if you can kill multiple enemies without getting shot down you will go on "rampage". you are able to use a very powerful one hit kill laser for a brief limited time. if you are shot down in the middle of a rampage it will discontinue.
