M. V. Dhond

Madhukar Vasudev Dhond (Marathi: मधुकर वासुदेव धोंड, म वा धोंड) (October 3, 1914 – December 5, 2007) was an Indian literary and art critic.
Recipient of the prestigious Sahitya Akademi (India) Awards 1997 for his book "Jnaneshwaritil Laukik Srishti (Criticism)"
Dhond wrote in Marathi on wide range of subjects, including Dnyaneshwari, Tukaram, Vitthal, Raghunath Karve, playwright Ram Ganesh Gadkari, B. S. Mardhekar, Namdev, Samarth Ramdas, D. G. Godse, Vijay Tendulkar's play "Sakharam Binder", Anandi Gopal Joshi, Ranjit Desai's Marathi best-selling novel "Swami" among many others.
Dhond said he was an atheist but not faithless.
