M. C. Graça, Lda.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
M.C.Graça Lda. was constituted as a private company in January 1978, as a continuation of the activity started by Mr. Manuel C.Graça, over 40 years before.
The mains activity used to be the repair of vehicles and, afterwards, the production of chassis and cabins for trucks (Scania) at its first location in Carregado, Portugal.
In early 1978, the construction of what is the current plant 1 - parts production - began near Carregado, which has allowed the spread of activities into metal components for the automotive industry, still keeping the old facilities, however, for the construction of tools and dies as well as vehicle assembly.
Later in 1999 the tooling production was transferred to a new facility (plant 2) close to plant 1.
Over the last decades major investments have been made on both tooling construction and parts production plants, not only in terms of technology but also in management and information systems, which have pushed the company to a higher international level.
Currently M.C.Graça is supplying over 15 customers among which are important OEMs as well as 1st Tiers, on a worldwide basis.
