M2 Ship Class (X)

M2 is a Destroyer class space ship in the X computer game series, developed by Egosoft. These ships are capable of using some of the most powerful weapons known in the X Universe. They are usually less shielded than the M1 Carrier class. These ships are constructed and used by the 7 major races in the X Universe, the Argon Federation, the Boron Kingdom, the Kha'ak, the Paranid Empire, the Split Dynasty, the Teladi Company and the Xenon. Factions such as the Pirates and Yaki do not use these ships.
