The prototype, based on a FAP 2220 BDS 6x6 truck, was shown to the public for the first time in 1975 and was initially known in the West as YMRL-32. Series production started five years later. The MLRS is mounted on FAP 2026 BDS/AV on special special platform. The rocket system is placed on back of the platform with 32 launch tubes. The caliber used is 128mm, max. range 20,600 m. The crew consist of 5 men. The "Oganj" is used by Serbian Army, and it was very effective during the Yugoslav wars. Recently, Serbia has developed new rockets, namely the "Grad-M" (GM) with a range of 28 km and the "Grad-2000" (G-2000) with a range of 40 km.
