From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The M-121 bomb was a US Military very large air dropped bomb used during World War II and the Vietnam War. It had an explosive warhead weighing 10,000 lb (4,500 kg). Production ceased in 1955, but stockpiles were retained until the Vietnam War where it was used to clear helicopter landing zones in the Jungle. It was superseded by the BLU-82 in approximately 1970.
