Māori Language Week

Māori Language Week, te wiki o te reo Māori, is a government-sponsored initiative intended to encourage New Zealanders to learn or at least support the minority official language, Māori.
It has been celebrated since 1975.
In 2006 it runs from 24 to 30 July.
